Amy – Director of Operations

Hey there, I am Amy. I am the Director of Operations here at Panorama Summit Orthopedics.

I grew up in CT and England, went to college in Tampa (GO BUCS!) then spent some time playing/working in the Caribbean Islands, Florida and Vermont. I eventually made my way out to Breckenridge 21 years ago just to ski. Just to ski turned into tearing my ACL and having surgery. Season was over. During recovery I got a part time job at Steadman – Hawkins answering phones and scheduling apts. I was promoted throughout my tenure of 15 + years at the now Steadman Clinic. I have been with Panorama Summit Orthopedics since their inception in Summit County in 2018. We are an orthopedic practice that also specializes in customer service and our community.

My husband, who I met in Breckenridge have been married for 16 years. We live in Breckenridge and have 2 awesome daughters, a dog and 2 hamsters. We love to play outside participating in all the activities our community has to offer.

Denise – Patient Access Representative

Hi – I’m Denise!  I currently live in Leadville, CO.  I have lived there now for over 25 yrs. And I LOVE it!  I have three boys, ages 32, 31 and 29 and I also have two grandsons and two granddaughters (one which is a fairly new grandbaby). Oh yes – and one grand doggy name Kiwi!

I’m originally from Grand Junction, CO and enjoy spending my time going to thrift stores and yard sales.  I love looking at Pinterest to get crafty ideas to do in my home or outside.  My favorite season is Christmas and I love to decorate my home and outside.

I enjoy working the Front Desk here at Panorama Summit, because I get to meet some interesting people that come through our doors!

Katrin – Patient Access Representative

Hi my name is Katrin Laird Anderson. I grew up in the land of 10,000+ lakes, where people eat Lefse and Ludefisk and are descendants of Vikings. I have been out West since the early 90’s, living in some amazing places including Jackson Hole, Aspen, Paonia and currently Summit County. The mountains make my heart sing!  As one of the newest employees, to Panorama Summit Orthopedics, since mid-September 2021, my role is a PAR – Patient Access Representative.

Our family currently does not have a domesticated pet, however we have moose and bears that frequent our home.  I LOVE to travel! I have explored 5 of the 7 continents and hope to visit the other 2 in the next 10 years. Travel highlights include Chile (where I was married at a ski resort), the entire Eastern Coast of Australia (from Cairns to Melbourne), a wildlife reserve in South Africa and the incredible landscape and people of Norway!

Orthopedics has interested me since having a UCL repaired and two ACL surgeries. It is an amazing science and I feel fortunate to live in a place where exceptional orthopedists understand the importance of getting people to FEEL BETTER and DO MORE. My athletic passions include Running, Alpine, Nordic and Water Skiing, Biking, Paddle Boarding and Skinning. As a family, we love to go camping and exploring!  Summit County is an incredible place to live due to proximity to the Front Range, the surrounding 14,000 ft. mountains, Lake Dillon, 5 mountain resorts within 15 miles and the direct access to an abundant of outdoor activities, fine restaurants, arts and culture and an active community of all ages.

Ellen – Care Coordinator / Appointment Scheduler

My name is Ellen and after working in law for 35 years in Washington, DC, and Baltimore, I decided I needed a BIG change! I grew up living in Aurora, CO, as a child and when we moved to Maryland, I knew I would get back here one day. I fell in love with Frisco when it wasn’t much more than a couple motels, a few stores, scattered houses and a gas station (yes, many years ago). Life happens, time moves on, and I was able to finally get back here. When I am not scheduling appointments at Panorama, I like to spend my time outside enjoying all that Summit County has to offer. Cycling, hiking, and skiing, both Nordic and downhill, are some of my favorites.

Thank you for choosing Panorama Summit Orthopedics.

Jacqueline – Care Coordinator/ Workman Compensation

My name is Jacqui and I moved to Summit County in 1996 from PA.  In my free time I enjoy road biking, skiing, hiking & kayaking.  I also enjoy spending time with my husband Mike enjoying this beautiful place we get to call home!

Nina – Clinic Coordinator

Hi! My name is Nina and I’ve lived in Summit County for 7 years and I am from Ohio originally. I graduated from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) in pre-occupational therapy and athletic training. Instead of going right into the medical field after undergrad, I decided to come to Summit County to play ski bum for a few years! I am happy to now be back in ortho doing what I love and I have been with Panorama Summit Orthopedics for 3 years. I really enjoy helping athletes get back to the things they love to do in this gigantic playground we call home. I live in Silverthorne with my husband Erik and our two fur babies: Koda the dog and Stanley the cat. We love mountain biking/road biking, hiking, backcountry skiing/snowboarding, and traveling as much as possible!

Richard – Athletic Trainer & Clinic Coordinator

Hi, I’m Rich!  I received my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from the University of Cincinnati. As an undergrad, I completed two seasonal internships with the Cincinnati Bengals. Upon graduation from the University of Cincinnati, I worked as a certified athletic trainer fellow for the Denver Broncos and went on to be a part of the Super Bowl 50 championship team. Following my fellowship with the Denver Broncos, I worked as a certified athletic trainer and practice manager at Steadman Clinic and Vail-Summit Orthopedics. Now I work as a Clinical Coordinator for Dr. Rita Baumgartner and schedule surgeries for both Dr. Baumgartner and Dr. Black. I am also a board-certified orthopaedic technologist and licensed surgical assistant. In my free time I enjoy golfing, skiing, hiking, rafting, volunteering for the US Ski and Snowboard Association, and spending time with my dog, Benji.

Kathrina – X-Ray Technician

Hi. I’m Kat and I’m and Xray tech at Panorama. I’ve lived in Summit County for 6 years. In my free time you can find me mountain biking, SUPing, hiking, climbing, snowboarding and hanging with my two

dogs, Riley and Canyon.

Sarah – X-Ray Technician

My name is Sarah and I have been in Summit County for 11 years. I have been an x-ray tech with Panorama Summit Orthopedics for 3 years, wahoo! I am originally from Asheville, North Carolina, but spent a large chunk of time living in Idaho before landing in Colorado in search of bigger mountains.

My original degree is in Recreation Management (i.e., playing outside), but I always had an interest in healthcare which is what landed me in Radiology. Most of my free time is spent adventuring with my awesome husband, chasing our little person or our four year old forever puppy, and doing all the things Summit County has to offer! Riding bikes is my sport of choice, but an early morning skin and Nordic skiing are what keep me happy and sane in the winters!

Matthew – Clinical Liason, EMT IV

I moved up here from Virginia in 2015 to work at Breckenridge for a winter. Although that job only lasted the season, I stuck around. I can’t think of any place I’d rather be. I enjoy outdoor recreation, adventure sports. Mostly mountain biking and snowboarding. Having dealt with my fair share of injuries, I know how tough it can be. I am here because I want to help people get back to do doing what they love!

Kari – Clinical Liaison

Hi, my name is Kari. I am the Clinical Liaison for Dr. Carlson here at Panorama Summit Ortho. I have been working here since January! I have lived in Summit County for just shy of 10 years. I graduated from CU Denver with a BA in Psychology and have since found a love for the psychological component that is involved in injury/working in orthopedics. I live in Summit Cove with my husband Brenen and our cat Max. I love to hike, kayak, ski/backcountry ski, and travel to the beach as much as possible-most recently to Kauai to get married!

Tara – Physician Assistant

My name is Tara and I’m a PA at Panorama Summit Ortho. I enjoy traveling to new places, most recently new ski resorts across Colorado and the county. I’ve worked at Panorama now for 1 year after working in Denver for a few years prior. I am originally from Philadelphia and moved out to Colorado in 2017. What I love most about Summit County is the small community feel, the amazing accessibility to play in the mountains and no longer having to drive on i-70! In the winter I snowboard and in the summers I mountain bike. Orthopedics has always interested me since PA school because I enjoy getting people back into the activities they love after an injury. I also love getting to know people throughout their whole journey and being a helpful hand along the way.

Caroline – Physician Assistant

Hello, I’m Caroline – a physician assistant at Panorama Summit Orthopedics.  I have worked at Summit Ortho for 2 years this November!  I found a love for orthopedics during my general surgery rotation in PA school. Whenever things weren’t busy with the general surgery or vascular service, I could choose other surgeries to scrub into. I started helping in total knee and hip replacement cases and LOVED IT. I then pursued rotating in as much orthopedics as I could to gain more experience/exposure including sports medicine. I have always been an active athletic person and I love being a part of returning someone back to the active life they love and helping them through a challenging injury/period in life.

I LOVE to travel and miss it quite a bit. I was lucky enough to travel frequently during my childhood with my parents and then continued travelling as I grew up. I actually lived in Peru for 4 months during my senior year of college.  Summit County has always felt like a home away from home. I grew up 2 hours away from Breckenridge in Colorado Springs and spent many years retreating up to the snowy mountains or wild flower meadows and waterfalls for time with my family and time to be happy in nature. When the opportunity arose for me to live here full time, I couldn’t pass it up. I spent some time after graduating college in Denver, and I vividly recall feeling any time I escaped the city to Summit County I felt an immediate weight lifted off my shoulders. I love the way Summit County comes together as a community to support one another and share a common love for playing in our wonderful home state.

I do enjoy singing (mostly in the operating room or shower). I used to sing in choir as a kid but am pretty stage fright. I can also play some mediocre guitar and piano but I enjoy it!  I also enjoy many outdoor activities including hiking, trail running, fly fishing (new hobby!), both road and mountain biking, skiing, and camping.

Taryn – Physician Assistant

Hello, my name is Taryn and I’m a Physician Assistant at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. I have a mutt doggie named Toby and enjoy traveling very much! My favorite trips have been to Alaska and New Zealand.

I’ve worked at Panorama Summit Orthopedics for a few months and enjoy fixing people and get them back out doing what they love! It’s so gratifying to be a part of someone’s journey to recovery.  What I love most about Summit County is the outdoor access and Whole Foods queso dip.  In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking and trail running.

Kata – Nurse Practioner

Hi, I’m Kata!  I grew up in San Diego, California, and Park City, Utah, which is where my love of mountain towns first began. I received my undergraduate degree at St. Olaf College in Nursing, where I was also able to purse my other passion for vocal performance. During my undergraduate years, I sang in The St. Olaf Choir and performing at a variety of venues including Carnegie Hall. After graduation, I completed a Nurse Residency at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.

After working as a Labor and Delivery nurse, I went back to graduate school at Georgetown University, and graduated with a Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner. I’ve worked in primary care and general surgery, but my true passion is orthopedic surgery.  I have been with Panorama Summit Orthopedics since November 2020 as an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner. As an active individual, I (frequently) utilize the care of orthopedics, and love being able to work with other individuals that are looking to get back to their high functioning lifestyle here in Summit County. I am also a certified yoga instructor, Pure Barre teacher and Lagree Method Coach, and am the Master Teacher Trainer at Tonic Method Breckenridge. In my spare time, I sing with the Summit Choral Society and the Father Dyer Methodist Singers. I enjoy all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including backcountry/downhill skiing, trail running, triathlons, road/mountain biking, and hiking with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Copper.

Kari – Physical Therapist

Hello, my name is Kari and I’m a Physical therapist at Panorama Summit Orthopedics.  I’ve been working at Panorama since August, 2020.  I love orthopedics because it allows me to help people of all ages get back to an active and healthy lifestyle.

My favorite thing about Summit County is the active lifestyle it offers, and I love the beautiful landscape I get to explore with hiking, and documenting it all through photography.  I enjoy playing the piano and flute, and I love to sing. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, road biking and skiing.

Cindy Elmore, Insurance Surgical Authorization Specialist

Hi I’m Cindy!  One of my first jobs was working with The Shriners Hospital for Children where I fell in love with the idea of helping others. I have incorporated that sense of care and love of helping others to the insurance side of things at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. I have close to 13 years’ experience working in the Health Insurance industry. Health insurance has become more complex and challenging which motivates me to succeed. I started my career in the health insurance industry as an administrative assistant and agent with my husband and his agency at Farmers Union Service Association in Colorado.  Following that, I became a surgical authorization specialist with The Steadman Clinic and now Panorama Summit Orthopedics for close to three years. I love working at Panorama Summit Orthopedics in a very positive upbeat environment with others who share my passion to provide the best possible experience for our patients.

I love the outdoors and in my twenties was an avid skier and ski instructor in Albuquerque and the Taos New Mexico area. At the age of 50, I climbed Mount Sherman (14,036 ft), Mount Sheridan (13,755 ft.) and Mount Elbert (14,439 ft.) which is the highest summit in Colorado and the second highest in the lower 48 states of the United States. At the age of 59, I completed my first ½ marathon race (13 miles) which I walked and found it to be just as challenging and fun as running it. I have a six-pound Pomeranian dog named “Tater Tot” that is considered to be a therapy dog and is a RLB (Registered Love Bug) who is also a wilderness guide for Nova Guides and has her own business card.

Kelley Egerstrom, Insurance Authorization Specialist

My name is Kelley. I am one of the Insurance Authorization Specialist here at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. I have been in Summit County for a short time but LOVE it here. I have two young ladies and a sweet rescue pup and we love to be outside as much as possible, riding bikes, skate boarding or just hiking.

I am blessed to be on such a great team here at Panorama. If you need ANYTHING we are here to help!
