Panorama Summit Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a vital component of the recovery process from any injury or surgery. The Summit Orthopedics physical therapy team is an important extension of our care team in Summit County. Our therapists are currently located in the on-mountain emergency clinics at Keystone and Breckenridge Mountain Resorts and our therapists are there for you when you need their help getting back to what you love. Our therapists themselves are active and they understand the importance of a body that keeps up with the demands of SummitCounty.

Accidents happen, especially during the busy ski and snowboard season and caring for Summit County’s visitors and residents as soon as possible is our top priority. During the ski and snowboard season our physical therapists work alongside the emergency care physicians in the on-mountain emergency clinics at Keystone and Breckenridge Mountain Resorts to help evaluate and care for injuries as soon as they happen. Between evaluation, bracing, follow-up visits for visitors and care plans, our physical therapists have every tool to help you get back on your feet at the earliest opportunity.

Our therapists are highly trained and skilled in manual therapy, functional training, and the use of the most cutting-edge equipment and techniques. Each patient receives a patient specific evaluation and program, coordinating care with our physicians or your own outside physician. Whether you are coming in for non-surgical treatment of an injury, need help preparing for an upcoming surgery or need post-surgical care, our therapists will come up with a plan tailored to you and your goals specifically.

Nina Zalenski at Panorama

Nina – Physical Therapy – PAR

Hi! My name is Nina and I’ve lived in Summit County for 7 years and I am from Ohio originally. I graduated from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) in pre-occupational therapy and athletic training. Instead of going right into the medical field after undergrad, I decided to come to Summit County to play ski bum for a few years! I am happy to now be back in ortho doing what I love and I have been with Panorama Summit Orthopedics for 3 years. I really enjoy helping athletes get back to the things they love to do in this gigantic playground we call home. I live in Silverthorne with my husband Erik and our two fur babies: Koda the dog and Stanley the cat. We love mountain biking/road biking, hiking, backcountry skiing/snowboarding, and traveling as much as possible!

Colin – Physical Therapist

My name is Colin. I am a physical therapist at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. I have been working here since December 2020. I love working in Summit County because of the active lifestyle and love having the opportunity to help people get back to the activities they love.

In my spare time I love skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and graduated from Misericordia University with my DPT in 2018. I worked in a physical therapy clinic in Pennsylvania for a few years before moving to Summit County with my girlfriend Katie where I initially worked at the ski clinic in Breckenridge.

Elizabeth, “Ziggy” – Physical Therapist

My name is Ziggy, and I am a Physical Therapist at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. I am new to Summit County this summer, and I am excited to become part of the community and stop having to drive on I-70! I have a passion for helping guide folks in their path to recovery- whether that may be getting back to skiing a powder day, or walking a block without pain.

I hail from Santa Fe, New Mexico, but have called Colorado home since 2016 after graduating college. In my free time, I enjoy mountain-biking, alpine and backcountry skiing, general mountain scrambling/tomfoolery, and petting other people’s dogs. I have many other talents, including being a certified mountain-bike instructor and ex-STEM teacher.

I can’t wait to meet you to help you achieve your goals!

Jennifer – Hand Therapist

I was born and raised in small town Illinois, and went to college in Indiana. I graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 1997 with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, and completed the requirements for Certification in Hand Therapy in 2002. I have experience in treating hand trauma from employment at the Austin, Texas regional trauma center for the last 16 years.  Specifically, I have worked with hand and upper extremity trauma, ranging from replantations of fingers to cumulative trauma. I have treated post-op carpal tunnel, tendon and nerve repairs, fracture fixation with both internal and external hardware, and soft tissue injuries including burns, frostbite, and flaps/grafts for coverage of large wounds. I have managed injuries with casting, splinting, and wound care to include negative pressure therapy.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, traveling, and spending time with my husband and son either camping or watching sporting events. I am also an avid reader.
