Kata Calahan, NP-C
Kata grew up in San Diego, California, and Park City, Utah, which is where her love of mountain towns first began. She received her undergraduate degree at St. Olaf College in Nursing, and completed a Nurse Residency at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver. After working as a Labor and Delivery nurse, Kata went back to graduate school at Georgetown University, and graduated with a Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in primary care and general surgery, but her true passion is orthopedic surgery. As an active individual, Kata has (frequently) utilized the care of orthopedics, and loves being able to work with other individuals that are looking to get back to their high functioning lifestyle here in Summit County. Kata is also a certified yoga instructor, Pure Barre teacher and Lagree Method Coach, and teaches at Tonic Method Breckenridge. In her spare time, she enjoys all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including backcountry/downhill skiing, trail running, triathlons, road/mountain biking, and hiking with her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Copper.
